California Highway Patrol Harassment at Bimmerfest 2009. US Highway 101 from Los Angeles, CA to Carpenderia, CA on May 2, 2009. Each year the Saturday before the weekend before Cinco De Mayo THOUSANDS of BMW's migrate from all over the United States to attend the annual event known as Bimmerfest. Every year HUNDREDS of California Highway Patrol are ready for our trip. These CHP are profiling and targeting NOTHING BUT BMW's. As many other vehicles speed by, or have similar infractions they are let go, and the BMW that's driving slower gets pulled over. They CHP target BMW's for petty fix it violations, like window tint, smoked tail lights, no front license plate, etc. Numerous BMW's fell victim to these petty fix it tickets as other motorists with similar were being over looked. This photo blog demonstrates Ventura County's Finest CHP officers engaged in classic profiling and targeting of BMW drivers.
